It’s a turbulent time for Bam Margera amid his issues with drinking and legal problems that he’s dealing with as a result.
The 39-year-old Pennsylvania native’s attorney told court officials that Margera has been on the ball in dealing with the fallout of his DUI arrest in Southern California a year ago, TMZ reported Sunday.
The Jackass alum has concluded an alcohol program that lasted three months, and attended 10 AA meetings in accordance with the court’s wishes, his lawyer told the court in documents, according to the outlet.
After checking into a rehab facility earlier this year, Margera left after 10 days citing his restlessness with the process in a series of social media posts. 99bandar
He wrote on Instagram, ‘By day number 5 in rehab I realized when I am bored is when I drink. Well in rehab I am bored 50 percent of the time so that’s when I figured out that when boredom sets in and alcohol is off limits, that’s when I get creative as f–k, an explosion of good ideas, exercise, skate, workout, yoga, hike, bike way more.
He wrote, ‘To the people who say, ‘YOU CAN’T DO IT ALONE, trust me,’ well guess what a**holes … I am not alone!’
He added: ‘I might not be in rehab with YOU, but I am surrounded by so many sober family and friends, spiritual healers, therapists, sober coaches and my sponsor … that I AM NOT alone.’
Margera, who remains in the midst of the three years probation he’s serving in connection with the incident, has been at the center of an outpouring of concern from his friends and colleagues from the MTV franchise.
Jackass alum Brandon Novak told TMZ earlier this month that Margera’s relatives sought an intervention in 2018 to try and get him to give up booze.
‘Enable an addict, bury an addict,’ said Novak, who said he has cleaned up his act after past substance abuse issues.
Novak added he’s concerned Margera’s habits could lead to a premature death if not dealt with.
